Madden Holiday

Who is taking a Madden Holiday this year? The game is dropping on Friday August 14th. I will be taking a week off from work the following week. I am very much looking forward to it. I need a break from work and can stay up late playing and not worry about having to be at work the next day.

Theres no real need for me since it comes out on a friday. I can have a whole weekend to play. I definately wouldnt take a whole week off tho.

I'm coincidentilly taking the 10th - 14th off this year. I get 5 weeks of vaca that I can really only use during the summer (I work for a college) while the students aren't around, so I usually more or less take a week off in June, July, and August, usually around the middle of the month.

Ive been taking a week vacation when Madden comes out for atleast the past 6 years. It really is my favorite time of the year, my buddy does the same thing also. It all starts with the Midnight Launch and we have a blast from there. Usually we goto a couple baseball games and head to the Pro Football hall Of Fame, but beside that its nothing but madden time! Great great Idea on having it come out on a Friday instead of the normal Tuesdays.

I have a fluid schedual, however I have already requested the 13th, 14th, and 15th off. I don't work on Sundays [so nice to be able to watch games durring the season this way.] I figure having the 13th off to be abel to sleep in and go to the midnight release and be ableto stay up late/early playing the game. Then when I do feel like passing out, I can go to bed and know the next day friday will be a madden fest as well. Sat and sunday can give me time ot get back on a normal sleep schedual again and also play a lot of Madden...

Those of you that have taken off for a video game(all been there), do you get busted on about it? Or do you keep it on the DL? Just curious.

I have a 3 year old...so no days off....

However he likes Football...so I can sneak a few games in..

For me no because I am not calling off but rather taking vacation time. I was going to take some time off in August (I do ever year) so I am just doing it around Madden time.

I used to take the madden holiday every year. But after having a few kids and the wife working 3rd shift now I wouldnt have the time. But maybe when the kids are teenagers I can get back to the madden holiday schedule.

I have Friday scheduled for a vacation day. Should be a blast of a weekend! Hopefully it rains all weekend and I won't have to feel guilty about leaving the yard work for another day...
