Question to den Gamestop-Preorder Demo

Hey guys, I wanted to ask you if this is possible:
Registering on gamestop.com, preordering Madden NFL 10, waiting until they send me the code for the demo and then cancel the preorder.
So I would have the longer demo.
Now you are asking: Why not buying the game at gamestop? Why canceling?
Because I live in Germany and I have a good importshop, where I don't have to wait the week of shipping and don't have to pay the high shipping costs gamestop would take.
So just want to ask if this is possible.
I thought about maybe they will charge the money right after i ordered. If they do this, i can't preorder it, because I don't want to buy it from there.

I'm in the same situaton. I want the better demo but I know this little mom and pop place that puts Madden out a lil early I want the best of both worlds but if the demo comes out a week before Madden does I might as well wait the 1-2 days to get the game from that place.
