New Madden Idea: Protection Spotlight

Yeah, having dominant defenders force double teams as often as they should would change defense in Madden forever. It sucks when you see an average center stay 1 on 1 with Albert Haynesworth and stand him up in a block, even push him BACKWARDS some times. I like the 3-4 in Madden too but it will never work 100% correctly without a better double team block mechanic.

I think my idea could be put into Madden 11 pretty easily. Like I said, you could spotlight guys with both your RBs and your o-line. Example:tell your TE to help with Julius Peppers off the edge, while in the same play you could tell your HB to look to block Jon Beason first when I snap the ball.

these idea is going to make it easy to stop some nano blitz because you can just use ur rb to sportlight any lb that keeps on coming all the time.

This is a great idea. Imagine a command having your quarterback telling your RB or tight end to focus on Demarcus Ware crawling in on the edge. Would make things a lot more realistic and could cut down on some of the blocking flaws.

This is a very good idea. I hope it eventually makes it. I believe it could become a very effective tool in the Madden NFL franchise.

The idea is just the first step though, with the hard part finding a way to put it in the game in an effective and efficient way. By efficient I mean the actual button presses and options that would be in there for it.
