Who is gonna give Madden one last chance?

Actually this is my first time saying this the last year. Madden '08 i took back the next day. Madden '09 i rented and didn't even buy. This year is up in the air but whatever happen if they don't come thru i will not bother anymore. I play enough call of duty to satisfy my game addiction if needed.

My point is this: whether you buy the game or not this year, will you be here next year reading up on Madden '11? For most people, the answer is yes. When that's the case, I don't consider that giving Madden one last chance or providing a ultimatum if you will. If this is Madden's last chance and you're not impressed come August 14th, I say give up on Madden period. Why bother reading the forums or watching the vids?

See I neither understand nor do I believe this mentality.

So you are saying that if this game isn't good you will never buy Madden again? really?? You won't check out the boards next year to see what progress they are making? Yea sure.

I don't understand why we have threads like this. If this year isn't up to par, fine, don't buy it. But you know as well as anyone else that (as rgiles said) if you are a fan of the NFL you will be checking out what Madden has to offer again next year.

You may not buy it but you will still check it out.

I give it a chance every year. There's little doubt in my mind that Madden will be tight in another year or 2.

I bought Madden 08 and sold it on Ebay within the first week. Madden 09 got bought and returned before I opened it (later borrowed from a friend). Madden 10 will be bought on release day assuming the impressions hold up. The demo will also help me decide.

And wasn't the team from last year replaced a team of devs/designers from the year before? I'm just asking.

On topic, OP, rent it. That's what I plan to do for the very first time ever for a Madden game.
