What year do you think Madden will (if ever) equal/eclipse 2K5?

Serious question.

I think we can all agree that Madden 10 will be an improvement on 09 and a step in the right direction, but will still not have the gameplay and complete package that 2K5 did. (And it was only $20 if you remember)

I will say this about Madden 10 though, as far as the presentation aspect goes I think it will surpass what 2K5 did, with the halftime show, the pre and post game introductions and interviews...so far Madden 10's presentation looks fantastic.

If Madden 10 is good, and so far it looks good...Madden 11 could be great. I am gonna quess that Madden 12 might be that magic year, that year where all the bugs are ironed out and all the cheese is gone, and we get the perfect football simulation. No more rocket catches and tron jogging, no more un-realistic physics and money plays that can't be stopped...just perfection in its purest form.

I think it will be a very long time until a game passes Nfl 2k5 in presentation or gameplay. Just my opinion. Obviously there are many who prefer a easy unrealistic arcade football game like Madden. I thought 2k5 was a nice balance between the two, and best of all.....fun!
