Formation Substitutions?

This is something that has been on my mind for quite some time as well. I liked how it was done in last gen, where you could sub players out of game, and those formation substitutions would stick throughout the entire season. I understand that formation substitutions were in 09, but they were in game. I didn't like that at all because when I would make my formation subs, I would take my time in choosing who I wanted in what formation and in what position. Doing it in game made me feel rushed and distracted from what was going on during the game (what down is it, how many yards until the 1st, what kind of play do I want to pick, etc.).

It was nice to have it in game because I could make subs dependent on the specific situation, but I used it so rarely it never gave me the positional rotation that I always want so that I can simulate the Eagles rotations.

Nope but you can set them for the cpu.

The million dollar question is will the computer use formation subs for formations like the wildcat. If Pat White is a free agent in year 4 of your franchise will the team that pick him up effectively use him if they have a wildcat in their playbook? Scenarios like that are the ones that interest me.
