Will Height Affect Speed Again?

Example in 09 a guy with 97 speed who was 5'9" would run considerably slower then a guy with 97 speed who is 6"5". Maybe I have been under a rock, but has this been fixed?

Ya you can test it out. Big guys already have enough advantage, having them run faster then smaller guys with the same speed rating is a problem.

Re: Will Height Affect Speed Again?

Here is my guess. The "speed" rating only is associated with how fast a guy goes through his strides, and smaller players have shorter strides. So, they are losing out on some small distance with each step, when compared to the taller guys with longer strides.

that makes sense, but hopefully they take more attributes in consideration.

Well, it shouldn't be a huge difference, but it is realistic for a long strided guy to cover as much ground with slower moving legs than a much shorter guy with faster moving legs.

Well if this is gonna be the case for Madden 10 they should lower some of the taller guys speed. Moss's 97 is like 102 right now.

I know on last gen they would all run the same based on their rating height did not matter.
