It really doesnt make a difference...

This is for the better cuz each play is designated for a button... though they still could of had 4 plays since their are buttons... but we need a back button... O WELL

I like it this way. I like seeing the coaches and players behind the playcalling menu. Last year you couldn't' see anything but a black background. It was like you were in an isolation room between plays.

I wouldn't mind having the OPTION to make it bigger and show more plays, but I prefer the smaller playcalling menu the way it currently is.

it's old school, last gen and beyond Madden.

I haven't tried the demo yet, but I'm hoping it's easy to sub and out players.

If they wanted to take it back to old school, they should put the 9 selections with 3 on top (the play titles) and 3 on the bottom, so that when you play 2 player, you'll have 9 plays to bluff from.

anyone remember?

Yes, I think that is what Virix was talking about when he posted:

I missed this play call method since the switch to the current gen. It was a really effective way of concealing the chosen play.

No, the old school maddens (after about 2000) had 9 plays to call on the screen and only 3 diagrams. That way would be fine. This is NOT the same as it was lol.

It is... you hit L2/LT, and you can sub.

Playcall screen is great and it's about time they return to this. I'm not surprised somebody complains about this though ... everybody clamours for the old school playcalling screen, it comes back, and then the people who liked the dysfunctional "next gen" play call screen complain that they want it back.

I have no problem at all with the new playcalling screen. I like the change. It's nice and convenient.
