This forum is a discussion about a video game, which is based on a sport.
To take the discussions or the game itself seriously, is somewhat naive. To be offended or defensive about the game or criticisms of the game is borderline ridiculous unless you had a major part in the development of the game. And even then, since it's a product that a business is trying to sell, the criticisms are actually the prerogative of the consumer - to which the developers have no choice but to listen to unless they no longer are concerned about selling their product.
We're not talking about nuclear physics, medical research, political matters or theology.
We're talking about a video game.
Trying to hold fans of this form of entertainment to the same maturity level of much more serious discussions is futile.
And that's not a knock on the age or the maturity level of the fans - that's an observation of the maturity level of the subject itself.
Video games, by nature, are an immature subject. It's entertainment.
Not to mention that the anonymity of the people posting makes it even more futile to try and moderate.
Just my 2 cents.

R - it's just a video game. Get over yourselves. Learn to accept and/or expect absurdity on the internet.)
