You could just make up your own salary cap. For example, your cap could be, say, 200 points. Depending on how high a player is rated, that's how many points he's worth. For example, a 95-99 player could be worth 10, a 90-94 9 points, a 84-89 8 points, and so on and so forth.

You could also add contracts to your players and you could renew their contracts or not and stuff like that. Just use your imagination.

Re: Madden 10 Online Dynasty Anger

There have been about 100 threads on this, you could have easily posted in one of those instead of starting a new one.

Anyway, the Online Franchise works just like a web app (think Team Builder and NCAA) and they will be able to apply fixes to it on the fly without having to send a patch out. Meaning it can be modified by the Madden team daily and they have said they will work on adding in these features if the demand is there (the demand is there). No patch is needed and no downloads are needed to be put out by the Madden team because of how it is accessed by the user.

The reason they aren't in is because they decided to go the route they have with how we, as users, access it. They basically had to rewrite franchise mode and didn't have time to put some things like, Salary Cap and CPU Transaction logic, into the Online Franchise game mode. But since it will be easy to apply changes to the web app they should be able to get some type of fix for us guys who want to use it.

Re: Madden 10 Online Dynasty Anger

i for one would rather have the ability to draft online away from my console than salary cap from day 1, if that was part of the decision making process.

yeah, Im pretty clear on the subject funny guy, my point was that "online leagues" last year had sliders and the mode was essentially a joke, now we have "online franchise" yet it appears there are features being revealed daily that arent in that should have been in. If they can get sliders into pretend "online leagues" one would assume it would be in "online franchise"

As stated MANY times. They had to decide 1:Hold it until 2011 or 2: release what they had finished. They had other more important gameplay stuff to fix after years of neglect. I personally am glad they released it as is instead of holding it out for a year.

Also.."Angry" over a game?

Yep. I already have an excel ready to go that figures the cap per team and salaries. We are just splitting the teams amongst us to control (fairly) the cap for each team. Or like you said just use a point system...
