I know its a demo, but whats the point of Pro-Tak

Seriously, whats the point if you cant trigger it when applicable?
There have been a number of tackle animations that i could not join, which resulted in my defender being dragged with me left to watch my other defenders fail to add on as the person on offense gets another 3-5 yards.

There is the possibility of it being fixed in the final version, so i dont want to condemn Madden for not having this just yet, but it is a serious question. What is the point of Pro-Tak if it only applies to a few tackles?

p.s the mid-air tackle swats are an eye-sore

If you can't understand the point of trying to advance the madden tackle engine then you probably can't figure many things out. It's not a marketing gimmick or anything like that, it's not for childern.

Your accusations will get you no where. Ian implemented Pro-tak in an attempt to make the lackluster madden tackling dynamics better. Is it good enough, is it polished, who knows, just stop with the childish attacks on the developers.

This is the one thing that bothers me most from the 1 minute demo, not being able to level a ball carrier that's in the grasp of a teamate. It's like there are pro-tak tackles and then there are the same tackles the have been around the last few years where defenders bounce off engaged players or simply fail to make contact. I thought pro-tak would be a part of every player interaction, but it appears that it is only triggered when certain criteria are met. It's like there is no logic to lay the wood to an engaged player with pro-tak, it's strictly for the "scrum" aspect. The demo is still fun.

pro tak its a better engine more gang tackles pile ups stop from guys hiking the ball and runing to the sideline since if u try u shoudl get a sack it makes a real pocket most the time there problems with pro tak but its first year with pro tak and will get better next year

no one is attacking the developers we just calling it as it is...and with this whole Ian said this and Ian said that thing ppl seem to forget that at the end of the day Ian is a pitch man as well he say what he have to say to sell the game.
