Yuck.

Why would they make the videos look so ugly this year?
NCAA is the same way, as far as picture quality goes. I believe they did it for bandwidth reasons, so more vids could be uploaded to the site.

I felt he did a good job adjusting his angle to get Housh. To me it looked like he realized his initial angle was wrong and adjusted. I liked it.

Yes it does, it looks like football , something the demo was missing and why I felt the demo was boring, but i'm so glad there is a speed slider so we all can be happy.

It looked like the video was being fast-forwarded. So I dont think we should have an issue with being too fast.

Pursuit angle was fine. Horton is a strong safety. He didn't have the speed to close in on Housh if he took a sharper angle. He adjusted beautifully.

Too funny - all of these were from Donny Moore's game last night against Will Kinsler (aka RACZILLA). Donny was asking me earlier what happened to his videos after he uploaded them...you guys found them before he did.

We're looking at the video quality stuff - something went wrong with the web compression (with both us and NCAA) very late...so we're trying to find a way to get that fixed before launch (we hope it's a web only thing and won't require a patch). I think ours may be slightly cleaner than NCAA's but they're both drastically worse than last year IMO. Definitely needs to be addressed.

Also, these were played online, so they were on "normal" game speed.

Re: EA Sports World Madden 10 Vids (4)

Am I the only one slightly worried about the "normal" game speed? For all I know the faster gamespeed could be alot better, however I have really enjoyed the slower gameplay in the demo. I know we have options for offline but on-line is set to normal speed.

The only reason I worry is I think one of the biggest improvements has been to slow the gamespeed down. It feels more like the PS2 days, and I just hated how fast and twitchy 09 was. Its possible I could enjoy the normal speed even more then the demo speed, but I just dont know if 5% slower then last year will be enough.

Re: EA Sports World Madden 10 Vids (4)

I created a team - the "NFL Legends" - using all the HOF'ers we have rights to in the game, and beat up on the Bengals on Rookie mode. I upped 2 highlights just to make sure the feature worked and everything (quality is definitely pretty poor). I had fun running the Wildcat with Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas, with Joe Montana, Michael Irvin, and Mike Ditka out running routes.

EA Sports: Barry Sanders passes to Ditka out of the wildcat!
