Madden 10 Speed

I disagree with this. When I see players on kickoff returns and in the open field in real life, they hit an extra gear. That gear doesn't exist on the "slow" speed.

But like kehlis said, with a speed setting everyone can do what they want.

I personally really like the speed of the game in the demo version. Coming over from APF, I was used to a generally slower game, and this feels like the right pace for me. It's not like racing ants, which is how recent Maddens have felt, and it's not twitchy. Big ups!

Yeah, I was talking about real football not Madden when i was talking about drafting fast players. And it would take a good WR about 4.3 to 4.5 seconds to get 40 yards.

I thought that was pretty clear. Oh well.

And this whole thread is about whether or not Madden 10 will suck on faster more realistic speeds. God I hope so. Otherwise ill just see what Madden 11 has in store.

you must not know how to use turbo bc in 09 they run 40 yards in like 3 and a half seconds

You posted a video of AP. Well just watching that video i took two screen shots. @19seconds at nearly full speed AP is at the 40 and runs in a straight line and takes him until @25seconds to reach the endzone. Even with pads on, would the Vikings, or any teams for that matter, drafted All Day if his 40 time was between 5 and 6 seconds? I doubt it. This is perfect example of running 40 yards in the NFl at game speed vs. the combine. The NFL is fast, but the NFL is not Madden 09 fast. Madden isn't too slow, it used to be too fast. There is a difference. If you don't like it, you can always bump it up to fast which is supposed to be 09's gamespeed. If you want to play online though, get used to it.

I agree, but I think a big part of that is the running animations. I don't know exactly what it is about the animation that makes it look slow and wrong, it just does.
