Release date Aug 14th?

i was wondering will this be changed since aug. 14th is friday. Ea usually releases its' games on tuesdays which is aug. 11th.. anyone kno if there will be a change in release dates because of this?

Don't you think when they chose the 14th they did so knowing it was a Friday?

I saw a sign at walmart that it was coming out on the 14th. Just in time for the weekend.

Actually, ESPN’s Thursday night preseason opener on August 13th is the Cards and the Steelers. This is why madden comes out on the 14th. Ian confirmed this only days after the release date was, well, released.

Its kind of a promotion type thing, because the cover boys this year are Fitz and Polamalu both teams will be represented.

Too avoid more responses like this I will summarize what my point was:

EA is a video game company. This is what they do. To the OP, do you really think they would set a date not knowing it was a Friday? This is planned out months in advance.

I realize why they picked when they did. That Thursday game they will be heavily advertising this. I understand that.

My point was very simple, and I am sorry it went way over some heads here, EA wouldn't pick and advertise a release date unless they knew exactly what they were doing it for.

Geez.
