It's in the game but off by default.

I wish you could turn on the icons without affecting gameplay. I kind of liked the visual cues about who to watch out for.

I'm with you on liking the visuals of key players to keep your eye on. not after the snap though, just when you pull the trigger pre-snap to bring them up.

I think to remove them from the game was going to cause all sorts of grief, so they simply turned them off.
Also Ian found out that when a players stat reached a weapon there was a big spike in performance. So there isn't a big difference from say 90-93 but when a players stat hits 94 he is all of a sudden heaps better. I believe they fixed that now though!

They are out completely, the spread out ratings pretty much took them out,

Ummm no it ain't bro. The weopens Icons is still in. Just is off by default. Unless I am missing something. But for now. I am almost 100% sure it is in but turned off by default.
