Let the begging at the door for scraps begin again. Yes I agree that we have some major improvements but other than presentation and logic, franchise seems identical to 09 and 08 and that's really dissapointing for offlline only franchise players such as myself.

Madden had so many things wrong with it. I am glad they fixed the core of franchise mode (Progression seems much better, AI team logic is much improved, scouting, draft busts and gems, etc...)

Two things that I think definitely shouldve been added to the game this year is the ability to trade future picks and practice in franchise mode. There is no excuse for not having those in this year.

Next year, they damn well better add some real improvements though. All this talk about the great work Looman did with HC09...I better see some of that in Madden. Aside from practice and trading future draft picks, I think its high time they make preseason mean something. At this point, there literally is absolutely no point to preseason in Madden right now.

I dont think it will ever be as in depth as HC09, but it doesnt really need to be, but it needs to offer more of an authentic experience than it does now.

I'm glad that they have spent time tuning the logic in franchise, because it was horrible. At the same time I'm kinda pissed that the franchise mode doesn't have things like some sort of training camp, a reason to play pre season, and a lot of other things that are a big part of the NFL.

I mean franchise hasn't really improved since around 05. That's pretty sad.

I agree with the first paragraph.

The second paragraph is just wrong though. Computer/AI logic for trading, drafting, signing players has always been terrible on Madden. Rookies were always pretty jacked up. Progression has been broken.

If those things are as improved as I am hearing (from people who have actually played the finished game, not EA), then I will be content. Like you, I am disappointed they didnt do more with it, but I cant complain too much, seeing as how I been griping about this for years.

IMO, this is the game we shouldve gotten two years ago. Madden is definitely behind where it should be at this point, but based on what Ive seen, I trust in Ian and his crew going forward. Thats high praise coming from a guy who has been crushing the Madden franchise for the last 3 years.

Yeah, I put that the wrong way. What I meant to say/should have said, is that they haven't really added any of the core things that franchise mode didn't have, in the last few years.

I'm still not sold on the "new tiburon team" after some of the things that have popped up recently, but it looks like they are at least heading in the right direction.
