Or do what I do, if the game is decent buy a Used Copy from amazon for cheap! When Madden becomes totally worth the 60 bucks, thats when I will dish out the money on day 1. Until then, Used copy for cheap for me..

I did it. Hope I'm not waiting two months to play Madden 10.

Edit - called today to see how long it would take. Heard everything from 2-3 weeks to 6-8 weeks depending on who I talked to so I doubt anyone at the call center really knows.

Oh, well, guess I won't have to do the beta testing while everyone waits on the first patch.

Got a conformation from SI today. Hopefully from the sound of this the call center and their 6-8 week estimate is incorrect.

"Thank you for your purcahse of a six-month subscription to Sports Illustrated. Your subscription includes EA Madden NFL 10...The national release date of video game is August 14th. No games will be shipped before then. Afer the national release date, your gifts will ship as soon as your credit card order is approved and processes."

I think we'll get the game in about two weeks because according to Amazon it takes about 2 weeks for the order to process.

did the deal myself today but I am not in a hurry to get it.I don't currently own a system and it will be a few weeks before I can buy a 360 again....plus I am not buying squat until MS makes their price cut/sku alteration official. By then we'll have the first patch most likely and the fine folks at OS will perfect the sliders so I think this will work perfectly.


Just couldn't let go of the streak of owning every Madden for at least another year.Looking more and more like this will be my first NCAA-less year since 2002

This is not true SI rep. said "you should recieve Madden roughly a week after the release, depending on where you live" The SI subscription comes in about 6-8 weeks.
