LOL, T.Jack is fail

Jackson showed signs of improvement last year. If you actually look at his per-attempt stats, they were quite good. Better than a 4:1 TD to INT ratio, only 1.3% interceptions, a QB rating of 95+... Now if he can throw twice as often and produce at the same rate, he'd be among the best in the league. I'm not holding my breath on that, but there's reason to think he's getting more competent. Judging by his low sacks and not-stellar incompletion percentage, I'd guess he throws it away too quickly -- Harrington always did that too. But he's on a smashmouth running team, that might actually be what they need.

That said, whoever said he's starting like Manning is off their rocker. Manning led the league in pass attempts his rookie year, on a godawful team -- he spent entire games throwing it over and over again to try and make some sort of miracle happen. Jackson is on a much better team that's not depending on him to provide all their offense, and he still put up poor numbers.

I'm not down on Jackson at all, but lets not get carried away. :-)

He lost you the playoff game, he is horrible.

To say he started off like McNabb (which I broke down in the other thread) and Manning and others is so wrong. McNabbs first full season he took them to the NFC Championship game, where they were sever underdogs and almost won.

To add to that, yes Peyton Manning had a bad first season, but everyone knew he was exploding at the seams with talent, so I don't think a T.Jack comparison fits to him either.

i look at tavarious as the modern day randall. if u let him do his thing hes a good qb. if u try to control him hes ineffective
