I remember last year the difference was the Weapon Icons weren't shown and the Endzone Celebration Hot-spots were no longer there.

However both features (Weapons, End-Zone Celeb) are not in the game this year so what exactly is the difference between the Hardcore and Advanced game modes.

Hardcore I believe turns off backtrack so you don't get any assistance when you make a mistake. Also for whatever reason it seems to turn off auto-replays.

Advanced has backtrack available as well as auto replays.
