Try and pass to set up the run. The oline definitely makes a big difference this year.

Also, are you by any chance holding sprint right after the handoff? I have found that with Adrian Peterson I can still make some moves when sprinting but most other backs I have played with I need to make sure to not use sprint right away. I have a habit of doing that.

Yeh don't sprint out of the gate. And if you really want to run, use good running teams.

I try to stick to the run, but just fail. And the Colt's have such a good aerial game I can't resist passing.

The not sprinting is key. I really like how responsive HBs are with small little jukes and hops when moving the LS left/right. I don't recall it being that good in previous Maddens.

Yes the jukes are toned down and more lifelike now. They work well. I don't really sprint as much as I used to but lineman do penetrate the line often.

Also...it doesn't help that the opposing team's linebackers have superhuman closing speed and reaction time. I've never seen a defense close on the ball as fast as the computer does, it's crazy.

So I originally read your thread and thought let him learn on his own. But...... since you seem genuine ill share with you.

1st dont be conserned that your not busting 4 or 5 ypc in the 1st QTR. KEEP RUNNING the game is set up to wear the Defense down over time.

2nd Its a good thing that they are blowing you up in the back field....THIS MAKE IT EASY FOR PLAY ACTION.

3rd also use misdirection plays for over aggresive D.

Try passing first...loosen up that d.....Works for almost every team.Also know what run formations are more effective for your personel.I've had no problems running,until I played PIT then I just threw it on them(Andre Johnson is a Beast).
