That's not sounding good at all.

Last year the stats were pretty realistic for the most part, but it looks like they've taken a step back this year. I thought franchise was supposed to be improved, but this is one of most crucial parts of franchise imo.

Yeah well, if the 3-4 never existed, Madden wouldn't have problems with statistics like that. Too bad it does, and it has been overlooked for a very long time now.

Yeah the 3-4 thing is pretty bad, that means guys like Jerry Porter and James Harrison(and D.Ware) won't get any sacks, that's terrible. But certain teams only having 2 rushing TDs is just as bad or even worse imo.

Can they fix this with one of the patches?

I think in the Lions franchise thread, he mentioned Wells led the league with 17 rushing TDs. Still, the rushing/passing TD stats are hosed. At least the 29th best QB no longer has a 100+ QB rating...

Yeah, the 3-4 defense and Madden just don't mix. From simmed stats to double teams, and generic depth charts, it's like it doesn't exist.

The major flaws in the sim stats that I have seen are:

1. The rushing TD's are way too low.

2. Back up running backs that are not rated very high, average around 2 yards a carry.

3. The 3-4 outside linebackers seem like they are simmed as regular outside linebackers.(low sack totals)

They are the issues that stick out so far.

Well, they'll issue a patch to fix these issues i'm sure of it. In previous posts I read EA will issue 2 patches. And will be sometime after september or mid-september. The 2nd patch is supposedly the "meat and potatoes" patch. So hopefully Ian and his team are workign hard to fix all the bugs and issues.

Well that's a huge dissspointment, I was all ready to go and get Madden at midnight now I'm not in a rush at all. The steelers are my team, so my linebackers not getting sacks is definitely something that's gonna hurt the game for me.
