Anyone having trouble running a good dual back system?

I don't have the game yet but one thing that I've been reading a lot about is the big disparity between number 1 and number 2 backs even on teams that regularly employ dual backs effectively. For those with the game, do you find it is too hard to run effectively with your number 2 back? From what I've been reading the ratings spreads have effected this pretty negatively. I know there is that slider setting that tones down at least the speed differential, but what about for people that don't want to tone it down for other positions besides running back? I'll be able to judge for myself Friday. I was just curious to see what the OS community had to say about this.
