Let the nickel and diming begin!!!

So I just popped open the PSN to see what's new, and what do my wondering eyes see? "Madden 10 New Releases"....I opened it, and to my disgust, they have 27 different itmes, ranging from 50 cents, to 7 bucks (I scanned quickly, so they may be higher). How is it that everytime EA releases a game, premium content is available prior to its release? Tiger Woods? Extra courses for sale....NCAA? Stupid accelerators that you can use in both on and offline dynasties...Madden? Adds "extra" scout reports that will allow you to see more player ratings, or "hometown hero" that will keep a player out of retirement for 1 more year...Or, not done yet (99 cents) that will keep a player out of retirement for 1 year, or, splurge for the "One more year" (1.99) that will keep a player from retirement that you can use twice per season, per franchise.

EA finds newer and more dispicable ways to gouge more and more out of the consumer for less and less...I love the "elite" pack...for 5 bucks you can be a "VIP" and play in lobbies for the hardcore. They can suck it.

It takes a lot of balls to open up an "extras" shop after four straight years of bare-bones (yet still full price) football games.

To anybody who actually has the game already how many elite members are you seeing online? Kind of curious to see how many people actually buy this.

Most of those extras shouldn't be touched with a ten-foot pole by fans of simulation football anyway, so it doesn't bother me. You couldn't pay me to use those features.
