Future roster updates question

Hey all,

If I start a franchise now and EA adds a player in the next roster update, is there any way to add him to the franchise I already started (ie he gets added to the FA pool) or am I out of luck/need to restart the franchise to have that player on my team? (Thinking of a couple Pats players in particular) Also, does anyone know if ratings changes impact franchises already in progress?

No you can't add them. I wanted to do the same thing with the Bears so I just created the guys that were missing
