Would Supersim help with the bad stats

If we were to Supersim Franchise games, would the stats for RB TD's, backup YPC, and OLB sacks look more realistic? I don't have the game yet, but it seems like a possibility. It might take a while, but if it works, I'm down.

That's actually a really good idea. I know it really helped even out some stats in Madden 08. In that case it was to actually lower the amount of 1,000 yard rushers i believe. I would be interested to know if anyone has tried this.

Re: Would Supersim help with the bad stats

I have tried it and early results are... not good. I messed around with various clock lengths to get the correct number of plays per game (I think I settled on 9 minutes). While it did seem to help the rushing stats, it led to inflated scores. I did about 5 games and all of them were better than 60 points combined. Also, there weren't any half sacks and sack totals were really high. Now 5 games is a small sample size, so I'm going to do some more testing, but it doesn't look good.

I think turning off the accelerated clock and 8 or 9 minute quarters would do wonders for realistic stats.. I find that acc clock makes the game go by TOO fast...

But that's in played games. We're talking about simmed stats for franchise mode.

I'm wondering if sliders have an effect on supersim (I don't remember if they did in past versions or not), so messing around with them may produce some different results.

So less time, would give you better TD stats, but not a realistic number of plays? How are passing and rushing yards? Are OLB's getting sacks during these supersim games?

Dude, the problem is with the other games in Franchise. The other teams, don't get realistic stats in a few categories. Like nobody having more than 10 TD's in a season. We are discussing a way to make the simmed stats more realistic, not games that we play. We still want to play the games for our teams, but just not lead the league in every category.
