Is anyone having issues with signing rookies to ridiculously long contracts? I drafted a QB in round one for the 32 pick, the guy kept asking for money but I couldn't do more then 7 years for something like 65 million. 6 million the first year alone, and he still wouldn't sign. I had to cut him otherwise my cap would have exploded.

Then later I found out I had drafted a gem, round 5th or 6th with a 85 ovr, so I tried resigning him to a longer contract and again he wouldn't accept the ridiculous amount of money I threw at him. Anyone else having these problems?

The 49ers are having this same problem as we speak damn crabtree.

The free agents are the same Wahle is now the second highest paid player on my team 7+ mil for a guard..

oh man, that scares me. That was 1 thing I was hoping that they were going to fix. No way should 4th rounders be demanding multi-million dollar deals. That's too bad, oh well.

Raising the years doesn't fix your problem. You have to raise the dollar amount. Increasing the years will only increase the cash proportionately. If you can't afford him that is a whole other problem.

Its not like rookie salaries in real life are ridiculous... oh wait they are!

only the top 10 usually. No way 3rd rounders and beyond get paid like they do in Madden. I was hoping this was going to be addressed.

I always sign my 1-3 picks to 6 year contracts. I have not had a problem signing one to the default contract that first pops up.
