definitely on.

The person who jumps on it first has an advantage you know....

And when the meter disappears, you still have to mash. It adds supsense....

This would make sense, if you ever saw the end of the meter....

how do you know you're not a fan if you've had it turned off from the get go

biggest franchise flaw so far, where late round rookies, rated 80-82 are free agents, and at the top of their position..

possible flaw, transferring the ball gets the computer angle screwed up..

Big thanks to Ian and crew for a truly great football experience

Tried it in the demo and didn't like it. Plus not a fan of button mashing mini games in the sports game genre.

fair enough..

i thought i was going to be the same, until it happened in the 4th of that close game.. and it doesn't feel so much as button mashing as "fighting" for the fumble.. it actually gave me the feeling i had some control over the outcome, and gave me one of my most suspenseful moments ever playing a sports game.. hope they keep it in future maddens

Re: Fight for fumble on or off?

I've turned it off. I'm simply not a "button smasher". But I really like the pile-on cut scene and the build of anticipation it adds to the game. With it turned off it really feels like watching a game on t.v. I caught myself yelling at the t.v. the other night when a fumble happened. It felt just like a real game. Focusing on the buttons the whole time you never get to watch the cut scene. Your too busy watching what button to press. Try it with "off" one time and you won't go back to the smashing. It's a great new addition to Madden and really creates a dramatic moment in the game and closely imitates watching the real NFL. Good job EA.
