.03 seconds left till halftime. My kicker makes a 43 yard kick as time expires but...... Penalty flag thrown. Holding on the offense.

My brother chose to accept the holding penalty.

When he did that the half ended and I wasn't given a chance to try the field goal again.

Should I have been given a chance to retry the field goal under NFL rules?

Damn it. We had a lot of different opinions at our madden party and I didn't know that was the rule.

So in a situation where a game winning field goal is going to be kicked.... If holding is called the field goal doesn't count and the game ends? Wow.
