Cap Hit

How is a players cap hit calculated from their salary? When you are resigning someone all you see is their salary, the contract bonus and the amount of years. This year i actually have to manage my cap space, which i love, so i dont overpay for someone. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Cap Hit

What I don't understand is that in past Madden games if you were trading a player you would only take a cap hit if he had a signing bonus. Now it has changed.

Are you sure? I think it just penalizes you after the season, it doesnt show up during the season.

Yeah cap hits always hit you in the following season, but is there a way to see your next season cap and future penalties? I'm afraid I would go into the next season and have huge hits and have to cut half my team.
