I'm going to explain as nicely as possible why your logic is so stupid.

You are comparing guys running 40 yrd dashes from a dead stop, without pads, running a straight line with the intention of getting the best time possible with guys that are already at a full sprint, wearing full pads, not necessarily running in straight lines and running (as another response stated) to get a touchdown, not to break a speed record.

Sorry, but this thread makes Operation Sports a dumber place to be.

83Evans I timed Marshawn Lynch the REAL way not where he already has a running start and I clocked 4.73 where he came out of the broken tackle at the 42 and started sprinting until the 18 which is 40 yard dash.

PS. Steve Slaton would burn Lynch in a race.
