The Madden 10 Experience

Before we get into details, I will introduce myself. I've been lingering the OS forums for quite awhile, getting info on the games I play, whether it be rosters, sliders, etc, I am ALWAYS looking for ways to make my games play the most realistically. So, I will get going with my mission statement..and that is "I will make Madden 10 the greatest playing football game to date".

Here are my plans.

1)Rosters- Nobody will ever be content with any one roster. There will always be people saying "so and so should be higher/lower" but, either way, I will do my best to fully customize the roster as best I can. With new rosters coming out all of the time, I am instead going to create mine from scratch, creating players when needed, editing attributes, EQUIPMENT, and what not, and doing everything pretty much on my own. Sure, some players will not have pictures or career stats, but if you want that, dont use this. It is to hard to keep up if I download the latest roster and edit everything again.

2) Franchise Scheme Sliders- I am currently simming season after season, tweaking pass/run ratios, aggression, position priorities, etc...working on getting the best simulation stats as possible.

3) NCAA draft classes- this is something I just started, as I didnt want to see players like Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford come in with 50 ratings...also running backs are coming in with extremely slow speed ratings, etc...I am currently tweaking stats, saving draft classes, and checking them over and over again to find a good balance.

4) Sliders- As soon as I got the game, I played quick match after quick match and adjusted sliders appropriately, and after 40 some games, I am VERY happy with the sliders I am using. They create a much better pass rush from CPU and USER, great CPU run game, great NFL defenses (Ravens, Steelers) are VERY tough to play against, stats are very authentic. Games are never the same. I have had 7-3 games, and games in the 80's in total points. Teams really play like real life. These sliders are for people. who like "real" NFL teams, LOSE games sometimes. I dont want to win every game, it really takes away from the fun/realism, plus makes winning feel that much better. So with that said, these sliders are not easy. But, after a few go rounds, I guaranty these are very fun and realistic. I have not had this much fun playing a sports game since Nfl2k5.

Unfortunately, without a patch out, there are some things can not be fixed. Tackle's are recorded as "solo" and "assist", and there is no "total" tackles for user controlled teams. So tackle numbers will be low compared to the rest of the league. Rushing touchdowns are also relatively low, but I am working on this.

If enough people are interested, I will post as much as I can to help. Otherwise, enjoy your Madden 10 experience!
