Nothing I have tried has effect on instant replays, as far as TD instant replays go, and minimal, if any, effect on the number of replays overall.

Not disabling/enabling fight for the fumble.

Not the "advanced" setting.

Not disabling acc. clock.

I have come to believe that nothing will fix it, short of a patch.

There really is no excuse for this. I and many others complained and moaned about the lack of instant replays in previous Madden games well before the development of Madden 10 had ended. They had plenty of opportunity to ensure a good replay system, especially since some of the developers frequented this site and had plenty of opportunity to see the threads about it.

What exactly is the difference between ADVANCED and HARDCORE? What does this effect?

I believe Advanced allows Backtrack, Hardcore doesn't, by default. Of course, you can always change this.

I have no problem with auto replays. Sometimes I'll even get them in back to back plays. Sometimes I'll accidently skip them by pressing the buttons too long after a play.
