top low rated players?

Which players have you guys had the most success with despite low overall ratings? I have always felt that picking up productive players in the mid 70s or lower is a key to making my team the best possible. Some guys I have had a lot of success with who are lower rated are jorvorskie lane (FB 296lbs free agents moved to HB below a 60 overall), Ramses Barden (starts out pretty low, I think below 70, but his size and spectaculer catch make him a great weapon), and devin hester (low 70s overall but a ton of speed and great in the open field)

I'm playing a franchise with the Bills and the Chargers released Jacob Hester due to injures at other positions. I'm in year two and he's rated 77. He's not that strong of a blocker but, I'm hoping to build him into on of the best running/ receiving FB's in the game.

Also, I'm trying to build rookie TE Shawn Nelson into a solid player as well. He's fast for a TE and a good receiver but his run blocking is suspect. I believe he around 77, as well.

J-Train is a freak!!! I haven't used him yet or even noticed that he was in the FA pool, but I remember him in NCAA last year trucking dudes left and right...he'll make a nice addition to Steven Jackson in the back field in my franchise

Josh Morgan brings in tons of catches on my simmed 49ers franchise. Though he gained enough in the offseason that he's really not that low rated any more. There are some low rated TEs that can catch just fine too, and become an integral part of the offense. I don't remember Lendale White's rating but he seemed better than his rating to me when I played... You don't break out 80 yard dashes with him but he almost always falls forward, so even if he gets hit at the line, he gets a couple yards out of it.

I agree i think he will turn into a great player in the nfl if he gets a chance.

I had a 72 ovr cb who was a pick machine in my simulated franchise. He was 2nd in Defensive player of the year voting. Sadly i had to let him go because he wanted a HUGE contract

Malcolmb Kelly wr wahington redskins....dude is a beast in my franchise and only rated 63...catches almost everything and he is tall and fast

james hardy of the bills is a great tall receiver who can jump for the ball and take it or make spectacular catches. definetly a guy to steal from the bills if you're looking for a tall slot guy or number two who can come across the middle and grab the high ball
