What are your thoughts on this game really?

Not what I thought it would be. Sure I had fun with it for the first few hours of playing now I just cant get into it and I plan on returning it. Wasted my 60 dollars yay!

My opinion - headed in right direction, but a disappointment this year...more was expected in on the field gameplay improvements and realism. The gameplay (still) has fatal flawas and unexplainable happenings.

I think it will take them 2 more dev cycles to get where most of us want the game to be.

Average to Good game.

Could have been great with more attention to detail.

Has a lot of bugs, I would wait until both patches are done before I give a final opinion (as sad as that is).

The reason i say that is i like realism in my sports games and if you think The Show was great out of the box you are wrong, reason being the lineup glitch was not fixed even after the patch so it's to broken for me to play. Now I'm waiting to see how the patches affect both NCAA and Madden and if it's not to my liking then I'll save my self $65. but i'll let you all know getting Madden after the patch looks pretty good plus i'll be able to get it used.

For myself, I'm not especially hung up on the stats and the gameplay issues, while still present, are at least improved to some extent with this release. My problem is with contracts. The offseason used to be my favorite part of the game - a time to make improvements to the core of my team. In this year's version, I can't get anybody to sign a contract, even if I cave from the very start and offer all they are asking and more. The only way I can get any guys resigned is to let the computer sim the resignings, and then I get stuck with whatever the computer decides to do (like releasing my A potential FB to sign a scrub FS because we were short one on the roster.)

No matter how much I offer, I get "Not the deal X is looking for." It's as close to a deal breaker as I get, because I play offline, so the fun for me is in building the team.

I love it personally. I play on custom difficulty and see great results. In the past i would blow the team out on all-pro, but this year the most points i have scored is 35 in about 10 games.
