There really needs to be an animation or something where the CPU QB just accepts that he's going to take a sack and takes it. The whole ball going out of the CPU's hand right before the sack thing is really getting old I play as Denver and it's impossible to get a sack with Robert Ayers because CPU always throws the ball JUST before and than there's too many picks in a game. Oddly enough it's not hard to get sacks with my DE's but it is with OLB for some reason just seems like the computer thinks OLB's don't get sacks or something?

I could see this whole "pass happened just as he got hit" thing happening more when the QB is getting hit from his blindside but no NFL QB tries to throw a pass when the defender is THAT close to hitting them they just accept the sack and go on with the next play.

Next issue is it seems a ton of the pass routes in this game are absolutely useless. This is due to a couple reasons :

CPU press coverage is ridiculous last years madden it was fine this year I see my WR's being held up for like a full 3-4 seconds that's ridiculous! and it's way to consistent and happens far to often (I swear CPU is in press 90% of plays). Again I play with Denver and even Brandon Marshall who has a 99 release rating gets held up all day long and certain routes just don't allow you to have that much time to get the pass off before getting sacked.

Also the elite receivers really mean nothing in this game it seems everytime I try to get the ball to Brandon Marshall there's ALWAYS safety help or the safety LB and the corner somehow all right there ready to make a play it seems like passing in this game is 90% just throwing slants and crossing routes and dumping it off to the RB (who btw is open WAY to often).

Other than that I like the game a lot and think it's a huge improvement over last years madden (my god I can actually return kicks and punts now!).

But again I feel like these issues are ridiculous it seems like they corrected a couple things and than broke a few things that were fine to begin with (seriously I loved the press coverage in madden 10).

Something needs to be done with accel clock for 2min drills...its not a true 2min drill if you are playing with accel clock on....

The accelerated clock isn't on in the last two minutes. I just hope they patch in online franchise sliders and fix the QB sack problem. Do that and this game meets my standards, which would be a first for Madden.

Ya passing is horrible in this game. The WR/CB interactions are very bad and just about every curl route is a pick. Too much press coverage like you said.

have the dbs not be psychic on all-madden..i love a challenge but that's just dumb

and fix the cpu to take sacks

I posted a thread about speed burst, I guess it wasn't important for people to respond. It has a lot to do with speed burst. If you notice, the defender will catch up to your receiver when you DON'T have the ball. He'll get bursts and start to jostle you and that makes droping the ball to an open wide receiver very difficult.

Yes, the CPU knows what plays you pick. I think this is a bug. You'll notice the defender running the route ahead of you. Funniest thing ever.

Don't forget the bug where almost all WR/CB jam/chuck animations go to the right. There's a couple specific instances where it can go left, but largely the receiver is always forced right. Once you realize this bug, you can't ignore it. It drives me crazy knowing that whether or not my pass play will be successful depends on how many routes go right versus left. Sigh...

A lot of these last second passes should be called
intentional grounding. I get that he was hit, but when the pass
1. Doesn't cross the line of scrimmage and
2. is 20 yards from the nearest receiver...
3. Was thrown to avoid the sack

that my friends is a penalty. I've seen this called once (on me) and was only because I was hit while hitting the throw away button.
