This game is really fun when you play the right person.

It really is! I've played about 30 ranked games and there have been some disaterous games played against cheesers but if you get an opponent who plays football the way it should be, respects the integrity of the game, and doesn't quit or D/C then its really a great game.

As I'm getting older (19) I don't have the time to sit around messing with franchise mode (although it's my favorite) or playing "Madden moments" to kill time. I work part time and I'm a full time student so a quick ranked game once a day suits me especially if you get the right opponent.

I really have SERIOUS doubts about Madden still being a great game against the CPU. The games that I play online are TOTALLY different than games against CPU. Now I can play all-madden but it's scripted and not fun at all. I think the days of franchise mode and playing games against CPU could be over soon unless something dramatic happens the next two or three years to the AI.

I do feel some of you guys out there who are disappointed in the game but I'm not really. I don't like the ballcarrier running animations at all but it's not that big of a deal. I kept my expectations low so I wouldn't BE disppointed.

I tried playing random people online last night. They both quit before the half. One guy kept doing only the wildcat. He went for it on fourth and long from his own ten. I stopped him and scored on my next play. I'm just glad these games were unranked.

But you're right. I have a small group of friends that play and we try to play sim style. It's just more fun that way

I feel playing the CPU can get old and boring. Playing good competition online is the best part of madden.
