This could go on forever. I'm an Eagles fan and I'm pissed that Andy Reid got screwed in the game. Plus it's kind of creepy that Jim Johnson is still in the game...I mean he was a beast, but McDermott was named DC before Madden came out.

Yeah man I'm in year two of my franchise and played the Eagles last night and Jim Johnson was their head coach, seeing that was pretty creepy

the coach rating definitely makes no sense. The devs decided to just pick and choose a score to give teams probably to balance out the overall team rating if the coach slider factors into that.

Just add it to the list of quirks outside of gameplay that exist.

Interesting discussion we have here. I saw that rating for the Bears coaches and thought the same thing as OP. I thought I would chime in because I'm not a fan of the Bears, so I have no dog in this fight. This is not just an issue of only Bears fan having this opinion. I can objectively say, without rehashing the all the arguments and fact already presented that Lovie Smith is better than an average coach. That's my opinion, if there is ever anything as an objective opinion.

Slappy, you obviously know your stuff. It's also obvious you aren't going to change your view after all that is presented here. Nor do I expect you to. Just don't become one of those people that just have to argue just because you made a point and are too proud to back down.

This is off topic but, seeing Jim Johnson in Madden isn't near as bad as having to fight against Evan Tanner in UFC Undisputed. I know a lot of people had a problem with that. I didn't really have a problem with it. I see it as sort of a one last tribute to them and more than likey they would want to be in the games IMO.

One year of success does not make you a calibur QB. There have been plenty of rookies to come into the league and have a hreat 1st year and tail off. Kyle orton, Rick Myer, Ryan Leaf, etc.
