The NFL is indeed a private entity, and as we've seen they can license their apparel, their tv rights and their video game rights to whomever they want to.

The second we start forcing them to license their properties to other entities we start down a path that's very dangerous for all business.

there are many different ways monopolies can come about

you can argue semantics all you want, but if you dont think EA has a type of monopoly on NFL games for gaming consoles, you're wrong

this game is as popular as it is because of the NFL license...without it, their
football gaming dept. probably wouldnt exist anymore
