An idea would be before you start your season, sign a no name player Carolina.

Then start your franchise controlling both SF and Car. Trade the no namer to the Panthers for a 1st. There you go.

Only thing is I dont know if you can change how many teams you control during a franchise. I would assume so, otherwise it would get annoying being forced to control both teams.

Once you control a team, you are stuck with them throughout your franchise

I used this method to fix both the first and second round.

FYI though - You don't need to control SF or the team benefiting.

I ended up controlling six teams to fix the first two rounds. Well worth the minor inconvenience IMO.

Why would you not have to control the teams trading, if it's going to be unbalanced?

And can you switch how many teams are controlled in the offseason or during the franchise at all?

*edit* nvm, saw the above posts. Thanks

What I did was put a scrub on the team I wanted to trade with before starting the franchise.

For example, I put Car WR Kenneth Moore on SF before franchise. Once I started the franchise mode, I picked Carolina and I traded SF a 1st round pick for Moore.
