Not that I know of. In older versions of Madden it used to be in the "Roster Breakdown" section but there doesn't seem to be a total number count in this year's version.

Re: Cap Screwed?

Have any of yall thought of playing no cap? I know I may get heat for this, but oh well. I play the game to have fun probably like all of yall and I can understand that the challenge of cap restrictions can be fun for some, but I finally just got sick of having to conform to caps and started a franchise without one. To keep it fair, I don't just offer as much as possible for each player to make sure I get the ones I want, I keep it very reasonable. Also, most of the teams in the league are over cap. I guess the only problem is there is a larger discrepancy in the good teams from the bad, but I would still say there is a lot of competition in my league from the top tier(10-12) teams. Just something some of yall might want to consider doing. Just think of it as the NFL abolishing the cap in 2010.

Re: Cap Screwed?

last time i owned a madden game was back in 2000. Franchise mode was cool but the cap space grew too much year on year. also I basically could create as many beasts as I wanted and buy them all up. I probably will stay away from creating players in 2010.

Are you guys actually playing the games or are you simulating them?

If they can't take the player, try to also take their lowest OVR player. If works best if it is an OL or DL. Then you can either keep them for depth or cut them

Re: Cap Screwed?

Well, come next year, we might be playing Madden with no cap anyway. If the union and the league do not come to an agreement before the end of the league year, then 2010 will be an uncapped year. IRL, if the cap goes away, it will never come back.

I thought 2010 would be the final capped year, with the salary cap not rising at all between 09 and 10? I could be a year off, though

Nope. 2010 will be an uncapped year and 2011 could potentially be the year that the owners lockout the players.
