What happened to morale? And why do you even need a team captain?

Are they admitting that morale meant nothing, was broken, or just took it out for no reason like they do other features?

And why is there an option for a team captain? What does making a team captain do?

i dont think the captain does anything. he just gets a little patch on his jersey. just a little nugget added in there to add a bit of realism to the way the game looks on the field, i guess.

Captains participate in the coin toss. It's actually one of the cooler presentation elements.

Captains don't participate in the coin toss. In my Ravens franchise I set Ed Reed and Ray Lewis as captains in pre-season and in my first regular season game Derrick Mason and Todd Heap were on the field for the coin toss. I went into the depth chart to make sure I wasn't going crazy and sure enough Ed Reed and Ray Lewis were still the captains.

That's wierd, it seems like something they should have gotten right. But aren't their 4 captains?

I usually see Smith and Peppers, who are captains.

Morale/Mentality is crucial in this game if you are playing Franchise

A team 0-15 should not be going into a game with a team thats 15-0 with the same frame of mind.

If thats the case, you may as well have the toin coss just decide the game outcome rather than waste an hour playing a bunch of zombies unaffected by anything.

I hated morale. Especially when I edited equipment and the morale would drop.
