If I'm Josh Freeman or Ziggy Hood I'm Angry

They're the only 1st rounders that don't have "A" potential. There are 5th rounders with "A" potential that can become the top players in the game, but Freeman and Hood can't.

If I'm Josh Freeman and I'm playing franchise mode I might as well draft a quarterback with "A" potential because I can never be that good... no matter what.

Why? Because I've been capped and can't become an elite player. Also... I've never played a down in the NFL, so obviously EA knows I can't become elite.

Now my question is... how does that make sense at all?

Missing my point... players shouldn't have a pre-determined rating. It's too black and white.

How limiting is it really? What is Freeman's starting rating? If you dominate with him for five years, how high can he go?

I'm not a potential rating fan either. I'm a performance based progression guy. Maybe a 80/20% perf/potential mix would be best IMO.

I know someone who uses the Bucs on their franchise. He won MVP with Freeman and he only progressed to a 78.
