Madden Playoff bug explained again(this time with screenshots)

I rented the game again so I could post actual screenshots (with explanations) detailing the problem with the playoff bug that sometimes occurs in madden when certain criteria are met. (see below)

AFC Standings from my season.



Z- Patriots ( 13 - 3 ) Best record in AFC gets #1 seed in playoffs
Y- Steelers (12 - 4 ) 2nd best record in AFC and div winner gets #2 seed in playoffs
Y - Chargers ( 10 - 6 ) 3rd best record of div winners get #3 seed in playoffs
Y - Titans (9 - 7 ) 4th best record of div winners get #4 seed in playoffs
X - Ravens (11 - 5) even though the have the 3rd best record in AFC, they didn't win their division so they can only be a wildcard team and get the #5 seed
X - Broncos (9 - 7) non division winner, but get #6th seed in playoffs


WILD CARD ROUND (1st ROUND) (The Matchups are correct in this round)

#3 Chargers def #6 Broncos



#5 Ravens def #4 Titans




Based on this, the #5 Ravens are the LOWEST seeded winner from the wildcard round, so in the Divisional Round (ROUND 2) they are supposed to play the #1 Patriots, the #3 Chargers are the highest seeded winner so they should play the #2 Steelers. But look what Madden does below:

Divisional ROUND (2nd ROUND) in Madden (These matchups are WRONG)

Chargers vs. PatriotsWRONG
The Chargers are the #3 seed and highest seeded winner from the Wild card round, so they should play the #2 Steelers


Ravens vs. SteelersWRONG
The Ravens are the #5 seed and the Lowest seeded winner from the Wild card round, so they should play the #1 Patriots

You're exactly right! Its not new; it has been a problem since Madden 2003. But the point of putting it up here is so EA will finally realize the issue. (if they actually read these forums).

Also some people on the forums don't think there's a problem at all and without hard proof they wont believe you.

I have been playing Madden for years, ever since the Sega Genesis version. This is the FIRST i have ever seen this glitch. I went through 7 different seasons in Franchise in Madden 09 (different franchises, not 7 consecutive years in one) and NEVER saw a playoff matchup that was wrong.

Not enough people complain about this problem.

Nobody complains about how the WR stances in madden need to have the front foot the the side of the ball instead of the sideline. If more people make problems known, the dev team can fix the problem quickly. Especially on minor problems.

This isn't something that happens frequent. It's a rarity. I've seen it happen a couple of times, but have yet to see it happen in Madden 10. It's been a problem for years now, but I've only seen it a couple times. Regardless, it should be fixed.
