There is no such thing as a 'Real Trade'

Think about it. We know the game does some pretty crazy trades like Tom Brady being on the same team as Peyton Manning or the Patriots firing Bill Bellichek after winning a Super Bowl. everyone claims stuff like this isnt real and needs more logic - but honestly, looking back these past few years can you say anything have logic? maybe not if it happened in the game, but there is reason for everything.

in 2004, out of no where Ricky Williams suddenly retires -- Chargers go 14-2 and then they fire Marty Schottenheimer for a coach who has like 40 wins and 60 losses. Jay Cutler is traded away from the Broncos to the Bears. Champ Bailey for Clinton Portis. Raiders trade a 1st round pick for a Dinosaur Richard Seymour.

those are stuff that happened in real life - so anything could happen in the NFL. this is more of an informal thread, because a lot of people cannot determine what is real and what is fake. Anything could happen... heck we saw a wide reciever (Chad Ochocinco) kick field goals... why cant a punter and kicker play on the Offensive Line?

u r so right.....but the peyton and tom brady on the same team should never happen unlees theres a new style of offense in football that requires 2 QB on the field at once

i think your reaching here. Seymour isnt a dinosaur, manning and brady will never be on the same team and shouldnt be, bailey for portis wasnt a bad trade either way really, and any team could trade away a decent qb that they decided wasnt the "future". Look at cutler tonight....the broncos did good to get rid of brett favre jr.

perhaps not on the field at the same time, but something similar to what they do in Arizona... Ken Whisenhunt uses both Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart. There's a package specificly for Matt Leinart so you will see Leinart come out onto the field for some plays.

EDIT: look at the Eagles - i gaurantee 5 years ago if you were playing Franchise, and you saw Vick and McNabb on the same team you would be saying "Oh come on that'd never happen" and look, it happened.

Good point but if a side note came up that said 91 rated Vick will be in jail for 2 years and come back a 72 rating then i would of understood it

Vick is whole different can of worms, though. The whole off-the-field stuff that can't happen in Madden is a/the factor, so I think that's outside the usual trade/FA signing you can do in Madden.

Brady/Manning are still top guys and probably will be in two years - I think they'd not be on the same team, assuming they have the same ability they do now, mainly because - why would Colts trade for/sign via FA Brady when they have Manning (and vice versa)? Even with a creative offensive coordinator/scheme, that's a LOT of salary to commit and would you really gain that much? You have one superstar subbing for another superstar at a position that really doesn't need subs (not like having two strong HB, that would make a lot of sense).

I agree. There should be elements of why players get traded contracts, change of scheme/coaches, etc...but in all sports the majority of trades make little sense when it comes down to making a team better.

comparing warner/leinart to manning/brady is funny. No comparison except they are all qbs. Give it up!
