It was posted earlier, but here is the link: http://www.maddenteams.com if you click on each letter on the side, they will show you the teams starting with that letter, then if you go to COLORS, it will tell you the custom color code for each color. (Note: this was a previous madden, so you can not have the custom logos on the website, but it is a good place to find cool color combos)

Re: expansion draft exposed players

Started another expansion team because I didn't like the sliders I used for my first season, plus I didn't like my original draft all that much. Here is my new team, the Vancouver Vipers followed by my current roster (Week 5 {1-3}, replace the Seahawks). I got rid of quite a few of the people I drafted and replaced them with FA with higher potential.

QB 1 L McCown 70 Jaguars
2 M Teel 56 Rookie
3 H Cantwell 52 FA

HB 1 L Maroney 77 New England
2 L Booker 66 FA
3 X Omon 61 Buffalo

FB 1 L Jordan 78 Denver
2 Q Johnson 67 FA

WR 1 J Walker 71 Oakland
2 D Northcutt 68 Detroit
3 D Butler 65 Rookie
4 R Davis 66 FA
5 D Jackson 46 FA
6 A Kelly 61 Rookie

TE 1 M Rucker 70 FA
2 R Royal 74 Browns
3 C Morrah 56 Rookie

LT 1 O Cousins 68 Raiders
2 K Dunlap 60 Eagles

LG 1 T Metcalf 70 FA
2 U Nwaneri 66 Jaguars

C 1 J Jennings 80 FA
2 A Koets 68 New York

RG 1 M Unger 76 FA
2 G Isdaner 66 FA

RT 1 B Richardson 68 FA
2 A Boone 58 FA

LE 1 A Curry 93 Rookie
2 N Reed 69 FA

RE 1 K Gaja-Biamila 77 FA
2 M Evans 65 FA

DT 1 J Haye 78 Tennessee
2 T Taylor 65 FA
3 R Bryant 66 FA
4 D Landri 68 Jaguars

LOLB 1 M Freeman 63 FA
2 C Gatewood 59 FA

MLB 1 R Torbor 66 Miami
2 B Bell 63 FA
3 K Maiva 59 Rookie

ROLB 1 L Johnson 69 Carolina
2 C Glenn 46 Rookie

CB 1 M McKenzie 75 FA
2 R Gay 75 New Orleans
3 F Smoot 69 Washington
4 M Mickens 66 FA
5 B Hughes 63 FA
6 D Brown 47 FA

FS 1 B McGowan 66 New England
2 T Battle 59 FA

SS 1 M McCree 74 FA
2 R Smith 64 San Francisco

K 1 M Nugent 67 FA

P 1 G Pakulak 61 FA

I replaced the Seahawks (mainly because the only talent they have is old as sh*t). And am hoping I can make the playoffs sooner rather than later because the NFC West is pretty weak. Another reason for replacing Seattle is because I made my team in Vancouver, WA and I figured the weather is pretty identical. I made a few position changes -- Curry to DE instead of OLB and some lineman changes.

McClown is doing alright for me, but his deep accuracy makes me want to cut myself. On the loading screen my team is:

Quarterback: 1 Block
Running Back: 2 Blocks
Receivers: 1 Block
Pass Defense: 1 Block
Rush Defense:2 Blocks
Special Teams: 0 Blocks (even though my Kicker makes it from 56 Yards and I have 2 solid return men in Booker and Jackson)
Coaching: 3 Blocks -- makes no sense because I have a first year coach with 48 OVR and 1-3 record with a trash team, but whatever.

NP, this thread was only 3 pages or so long when I first came across, I'm sure 15 pages of reading is enough to make anyone skip to the last page haha!

Re: expansion draft exposed players

Nolan- so your using a mostly FA team? That cool. For the past couple years after 53 man roster cuts IRl, I thought I could make a whole new team with just fa's and do decent. No great players but alot of depth!

To everyone having fun with this expansion team method, your welcome! But for all the thanks i get I gotta give some back to guys you caught on, understood, helped explain to others and came up with pretty good lists of players that would be exposed. Thanks Nolan, Krong, Grisch, Lostrealms, etc.

Re: expansion draft exposed players

I'm currently ready to play week 5 in year 3, and I must say my team is ready to go to the next level. 4-0!! I beat Tampa, St. Louis, New York Giants and San Fransisco using my custom sliders which are above all madden. I run the "Run N Gun" offense which has 3 wildcat plays, and the base 3-4 defense.

Last offseason, I made it my goal to really aquire draft picks. I traded Derek Anderson to the Rams for their 3rd, 5th, and 7th round picks.

#1 overall spot I took Joe Haden, CB out of Florida. Funny thing happened - after I took Haden, I noticed Jimmy Clausen was the best QB on the board and he'd be available at #9. So I traded my 2nd round and both 3rd's to Denver to get the #9 pick. I get to my pick and he's not there, San Fran took him at #8 (came out to be 78 ovr!!! GRRR) So I traded my picks back lol. This guy Haden is a beast at returning kicks too! Here's my roster in week 5 of year 3.

QB - Brian Hoyer (69 ovr - C pot.) [2 yr pro] Franchise QB. Perfect for my offense
QB - Michael Vick (69 ovr - B pot.) [10 yr pro] depth/backup
QB - Jevan Snead* (59 ovr - C pot.) [rookie] took in 3rd round :O

RB - Carnell Williams (78 ovr - B pot.) [6 yr pro] On IR for season
RB - Jonathan Dwyer* (71 ovr - A pot.) [rookie] Franchise back. Used the Star Player DLC to get him from a B pot to an A. Was my 2nd round pick
RB - Garrett Wolfe (70 ovr - C pot.) [4 yr pro] perfect for screens
RB - Dominic Rhodes (67 ovr - C pot.) [10 yr pro] power/3rd down back

FB - Jorvorskie Lane (69 ovr - C pot.) [2 yr pro] keepin this guy forever

WR - Justin Harper (74 ovr - C pot.) [3 yr pro] I love this guy, idk why. #1 target
WR - Deon Butler (77 ovr - B pot.) [2 yr pro] Used as #2 receiver
WR - Robert Meachem (74 ovr - B pot.) [4 yr pro] Slot/depth receiver
WR - Arrelious Benn* (67 ovr - B pot.) [rookie] Future starter, may use "Star Player" on him next season
WR - Reggie Brown (72 ovr - C pot.) [6 yr pro] Cap casualty, have to keep him because of bonus
WR - Eric Decker (62 ovr - C pot.) [1 yr pro] Minnesota love

TE - Martin Rucker (73 ovr - B pot.) [3 yr pro] solid hands
TE - Dante Rosario (68 ovr - C pot.) [4 yr pro] caught everything thrown his way
TE - Cameron Morrah (62 ovr - C pot.) [2 yr pro] depth

LT - Ciron Black (88 ovr - A pot.) [1 yr pro] STUD!! his contract is worth 87million lol for 7 yrs
LT - Jamon Meredith (81 ovr - B pot.) [2 yr pro] depth

So this offseason I'm going to try and get rid of Chris Kelsay and get a young bull rusher. I'll also address my safety/secondary more, and improve depth wise. Overall I'm very happy and will post my year 3 results!
