How do you personally play defense?

That's some funny stuff right there!!! All joking aside can you believe Oakland's D-coordinator didn't adjust for that ... I mean Sproles was killing them!

As for my defensive play in Madden, I almost always control the MLB when using the 4-3, and if/when I ever use the 3-4 I control the SS and play very aggressively with him (ala Palamalu). I NEVER switch players during a play, and for the most part I try to cover whatever duty my player is supposed to during each play.

I've never really played much as a d-lineman ... just doesn't seem like much fun? When I have tried it I usually seem to get "sucked in" by an o-lineman and remain stuck to them? Must be doing something wrong???

taking control of either safety/mlb depending on thier assignment and sometimes OLB if I'm blitzing one of them...

I'm an MLB guy. on occassion (just started this year) I will grab a DE and try to get extra pressure. But the MLB is a versatile position - great for user control.

I think controlling a "Yellow Zone" defender as much as possible, is absolutely vital in this years game.

In long yardage, desperation pass situations, I go edge pass rusher.

Id' love to control my DL's full time, but these hook zone issues, make it impossible to do so.

I play as the D-line. It's the only way I can get consistent pressure. I usually play as the RE, and can get some pressure that way, but if the team I'm playing has a good LT but weak interior line, then I switch over to the DT and rush right up the middle.

I used to be able to get a good number of sacks using the "dive at the QB so he can't throw as he's being hit" trick, but recently every time I try it my DE falls straight to the ground, even if he's right next to the QB, he just goes straight down and misses the sack (I'm using "Super" Mario Williams no less).
