Yup. It drives me insane. Unfortunately, I started a Ravens franchise days before the patch was released. And it just happened to be that the Ravens are one of the teams that have the squares on the helmets after the patch..

I tried playing a game anyways, but I just couldn't stand it. lol.

Yes, I agree that this oversight sucks, and just comes off as generally unprofessional, on EA's part. . . . I have a not-so-horrible work around:

In the case of the Patriots (especially) and the Ravens; both teams have extremely similar alt. helmet selections, in terms of their 90's alternates. In the Patriots' case, their nearly identical, while the Ravens' aren't too far off.

I've already checked --- with the alt. helmets for both teams, respectively --- neither show this block issue, in place of their #'s. Give it a try.

Next thing you know, patch 2 is released and then you have huge squares on the jerseys where the numbers are supposed to be.

so i guess patch #1 needs a friggin patch of its own. Completely silly if you ask me. EA NEVER ceases to amaze me.....and not in a good way.

I have the patch and AFL Throwback DLC and am not experiencing this issue. Are you guys playing on 360 or PS3? If 360 clear your cache and redownload the patch- I think it has something to do with your files.
