I'm done with madden for good. I got real excited when Ian appeared and made me believe things would change. It didn't. The Show really is something special, I still play it daily as well

the running/moving animations are probably the biggest deficiencies of the game. if those are fixed, this game would look 100x better.

Madden will never be what we want because EA puts all their focus into lame graphical details that waste CPU. This is why the players have always looked like robots and the interaction is all messed up.

Here are some things that an elite football game would have.

Dynamic announcers. Get fake guys like 2K did, but have them spend months in the studio doing audio. Why? Because then you can have announcing during the play. "Pass complete to Moss", "There goes Slaton, he broke through the line!" for example. This is something that has not been done before, but I guarantee it would change the game experience. You would have to compress that audio to mp3, but it would change how football games sound. Currently the Audio in Madden is horrible. Especially the losers yelling stupid stuff between plays...who thought of that one?

Better animation and interaction. Already been done by 2k. This makes the game feel smooth and real. It could be enhanced by the Euphoria engine of course (if it works properly).

More dynamics. Madden, while being the best version so far, still plays flat and is not an addicting game after 2-3 weeks of play. A game like NHL, IS an addicting game due to it's dynamics throughout the game itself. There needs to be much more excitement and much better feel to the game before this happens.

I don't think you need a new company to do it. EA is capable of making players and animations look great. I think FIFA looks incredible and the physics are amazing. NHL is also really smooth.
