So I'm playing this knucklehead online the other night, I had stopped playing Madden online a couple of years ago because I had bascially gotten tired of playing trash football but I figured "next gen" garbage and what not would not really work...man I was a fool for thinking that. Anyway, dude had the Vikings (I know AP is a beast but he can be slowed down with solid D) and he changed playbooks and all that which is cool, but he ran that damn hb toss out the near or far formation the whole damn game and that pretty much makes AP really unstoppable along with a fluke pass out of the same formation. I run with the Jets and they're D is pretty respectable so it was definitely some bull**** going on. Apologize for the post being so long, but any ideas/tips would be appreciated! Peace

If you run a 3-4, use olb dogs fire or cb blitz. I prefer olb dogs fire, because you can use one of your olb's to get to whereever he is running. If you start doing that, you should be able to stop him. At least that's what I'd do.

Agreed , also u could have had the d line rush outwards also.

same crap happened to me but this dude had three plays one toss 1 play action and one single back pass thats all he did i finnally got fed up with it and ran off sides over and over till i got kicked off for excessive delay GRRRR i want to slap that dude

LOL... I thought I was the only person that did that...

I'm not a sore loser but I dont appreciate getting cheesed... So i'm playing this dude with the Eagles, its the 1st quarter and he was using McNabb so I was like ok, dude plays straight.. But what happened next? I score a touchdown, and after that, he pauses the game, subs in Vick.

In my head I'm like "what kind of idiot subs out McNabb for Vick" so we keep playing, and now he just runs the same 3 plays ... which is why I think Madden is BS, because he ran the same 3 plays a Dive on first down with westbrook gets 2-3 yards.. PA FB fake out of I-Form on 2nd and scrambles to the right, if I spy if I blitz he will just scramble all the way to the right and then take up field. And on 3rd its the same PA FB Fake just out of the strong formation and to the left...

So I figured out how to stop it, Zone blitz, so I have it contained all the way up to the 4th, when I got bored of running the same damn defense from the 1st quarter, and I called a 2 man under, just to have everybody in man coverage, burned me for the score. I came down got a FG, I slipped up again on D, and he scored, I got pissed, so I just started going off sides til I got kicked out, and the CPU must have done something miraculous cause I also got the win.
