So I just lost a game because of "the lob"

So in our offline fantasy draft Franchise I send Marcus Coltsen deep. He burns 2 corners and is wide open. I'm in the gun, no preassure in 5 yards of me, and I decide to lob it up. So it throws the pass exactly where he was, leaving an easy INT for the 2 corners. It cost me the damn game. What the hell is the purpose of the lob? The automatic INT button? This is GARBAGE. Just remove it from the effin game if you can't get it to "gasp" lead the reciever.

It leads the receiver fine if you don't wait until he's 70 yards away from you...

Also take into consideration that Brees (I'm assuming) doesn't have the strongest arm in Madden.
